Beautiful Bedrooms

The master bedroom suite is one of the most important rooms in your new home. Not only is it where you can rest and unwind at night, but it should also be your sanctuary and escape haven at other times when you just need to escape the hectic moments of everyday life!

When designing your new home, you should give thought to the size and layout of the master suite. The size of the room will firstly depend on available space and the overall floor plan of the entire house. Although an important room, it's not the room you will spend the majority of your waking hours in, so don't compromise on the living areas of the home in favour of a bigger bedroom.

If you can incorporate a larger bedroom space, this can be great for creating an opulent, luxurious master suite. The additional space can be great for a bench or blanket box at the end of the bed, incorporating large artwork or headboard. You can even bring in other furniture items such as bedside drawers, dresser or occasional chair to create a well balanced room.

Smaller bedroom spaces work well if you're looking to create a more cosy space that feels intimate and moody. There's no need for an abundance of furniture here, just the peaceful basics of a beautiful bedroom.

If you can incorporate a view from the bedroom, that's even better! Windows or doors opening onto a garden space, decking or even a pool area help bring in natural light, gives a feeling of open space and creates a resort style feel.

Whether your style leans toward minimalist, traditional, contemporary or luxe decor, the master bedroom of your new home should always reflect your individual personality.

Here are some examples of beautiful bedrooms that work well and offer a space you'll be glad to retire to.
